record video spots for my church. I need to go out to people’s houses, offices, outdoors, and in my studio. I was looking for a mic that could do lots of things. I would have settled for a jack of all trades but the Blue Yeti Pro Multipattern Condenser Microphone is closer to a master. I can just take the laptop and a small point and shoot camera and this mic to get good sound and images. I can also hook it to my AH-A1 through the XLR inputs for more serious work. In both modes the recording noise is well reduced and the fidelity is excellent.

Not that it is without its quirks. I find that I need to use a compressed to boost the sound (once in a while coupled with a noise gate). Since GarageBand has both readily available things work out well. For studio work I can get great results through the USB connection or even better results using two channels of my Fast Track Ultra. If you have a MAC, do not be fooled by the low indicated gain, use a compresser. Also, set the audio midi to full volume, as others have reported. The sound is clear and clean. I works great in garage band, Logic PRO, Sound Track, and FCP. This one would make a great first mic.

I own more expensive wireless mics but they really do not perform any better than the Azden WMS-Pro. The quality of sound is great if you place the mic properly. Range is dependent on the location. In a clear field on a clear day, I got over 500 feet from the camera and still had good reception. This is a great product at a fair price. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I got the B Band based on Sennheiser’s available channels in my local area. You need to go to the Sennheiser website and look at the little link on the page. Then enter your zip code and get the list of available frequencies in your area… then you can choose if the A, B, or G channel is best for your local area. When I got mine, I just put the batteries in (included!) and then turned on the unit. It was already linked and ready to go… no interference and absolutely no problems… I’m in a metropolitan downtown with lots of wireless transmission… I have not yet had any problems with this unit. It’s easy to maintain and the build quality is obviously professional. Excellent lav. microphone. I’m very happy with. I wish it was a little cheaper so I could buy a few… but I guess it is what it is… I had a cheaper Sony before and I now know the difference!

fretted for a long time looking for a condensor mic. I am no audio engineer, just a musician who wants to record some music. I checked specs and compared reviews for a ton of different entry level mics. It’s nerve-wracking purchasing equipment. As it turns out, I did’t need to invest in a Nuemann for my needs.

This mic fits what I do precisely, which is just recording in my small room. My room is by no means sound proof, nor do I care about that, but I keep the mic close to my mouth and guitar sound hole to dampen reverb anyway. It picks it up beautifully to my ear, and that’s all I really need.

The plastic shock mount is on the cheap side. The adjustments are beginning to fail me. It is annoying going to record and having the mic droop to the floor, but I can’t complain much since this mic is so inexpensive. I’ll probably purchase a sturdier mount soon.

If you’re just looking for a mic to make some good music, this is not a bad bet. Been using it for close to a year now and I’m very happy with it.
